本校近隣に位置する上本町の多目的商業施設「うえほんまちハイハイタウン」と大阪情報コンピュータ専門学校は、上本町地域の振興と相互発展のために連携協力を行っています。
その一環として、「うえほんまちハイハイタウン管理組合の店舗等部会販売促進委員会」が企画している、地域振興を目的としたYouTubeチャンネル及び番組開設に企画制作の協力要請がありました。経緯としては、広く学生や若年層の意見、技術を取り入れ、将来に向けて長く受け継がれ発展できるような素地を作りたい、そのために大阪で映像制作やデザインの教育分野を持つ専門学校・大学等の中から、地域性等を考慮した上で本校を第一候補としてお話しを頂きました。

今回、本校学生が制作したポスターは、「うえほんまちハイハイタウン」を宣伝する番組『ほんまええとこうえほんまち』YouTube動画の宣伝用ポスターです。ポスター制作の依頼を下さったのは、音楽評論家・ソロアーティストの中将(チュウジョウ)タカノリ氏です。

－ポスターに対する評価・コメント－
「今回ポスター制作を依頼する際に、具体的な指示は無く学生さんたちに好きなように作ってもらいました。ハイハイタウン内での宣伝なので紙媒体でお願いしますとだけお伝えしました。出来上がった作品を見て、率直に“面白いモノ"を作ってくれたなと思いました。僕ら出演者のイラストを描いてくれたんですが、非常にポップで可愛く仕上げてくれたなと笑。ハイハイタウンもそうですが上本町ってけっこう歴史深い町で（別の言い方すると古い町で…）、そんな中に、若さと新しさ溢れる攻めた感性を入れたいとは強く思っていたので、ポスターに学生らしいフレッシュ感があって、依頼して良かったなと思いました。」
－今後、学生に期待すること－
「今回は私の番組用宣伝用ポスターを作ってもらいましたが、主旨は“上本町って面白い町なんだ"とPRすることなので、OICさんと協力して、上本町の色んなスポットとのコラボを引き続きやっていきたいと考えています。こういった企画は随時更新していく予定なので、例えばイラストに限らず写真やCGなどを駆使して、次回以降も“若さと新しさ溢れる攻めた感性"を発揮してもらいたいですね。」

－ポスターを作るにあたって心掛けた点－
「中将さんから特に指示は無かったので、私たちなりの描き方で、番組司会のお二人をデフォルメしてマンガ風イラストに美化してみました。中将さんは、髪型が特徴的なのでそこを意識しながらマンガ風なポップにしつつもカッコよさを出すように心掛けました。アシスタントのまりなさんは、女性らしさを持たせつつも若々しさを出すように心掛けました。私たちが主に手掛けたのはイラストで、ポスターは先生の指示のもと仕上げていきました。」
－次回以降、挑戦してみたい事－
「今回は初めてというのがあったので、忠実に描くことを意識しましたが、今度はもっとデフォルメしたイラストを描いてみたいです。例えば、少年漫画・少女マンガ風にお二人を描いて、番組に登場させたりとか。あとは、ハイハイタウンは四季で色んなイベントをやってるので、お祭りとかクリスマスの雰囲気を背景にイベントと絡めたポスター制作に挑戦してみたいです。」
